Galena Group Inc. Announces Promotion

RENO-- Galena Group, Inc. recently announced the promotion of Gwen Brandenburg to Manager. According to Stuart Cronan, President, "The promotion acknowledges Ms. Brandenburg’s significant accomplishments. Gwen Brandenburg was promoted to Manager from Senior Consultant. A member of the firm since 2005, Gwen is the Emergency Dispatch and NG911 practice leader. She began her Galena Group, Inc. career in Reno, Nevada and worked out of Bozeman, Montana for almost two years. Ms. Brandenburg has 10 years experience in management and information technology consulting.

About Gwen Brandenburg:
Ms. Brandenburg has worked as lead consultant on many technology projects for Public Safety agencies throughout the United States. Ms. Brandenburg specializes in project management and has attended formal training from a PMI (Project Management Institute) training provider. She has experience with multi-agency and multi-discipline radio systems, Next Generation 911 (NG911) technologies, computer aided dispatch (CAD), records management systems (RMS), jail management systems (JMS), mobile data systems, prosecution/courts systems and associated technologies. Ms. Brandenburg also has leadership experience working for a multi-agency public safety communications center in Reno, Nevada.
Ms. Brandenburg’s project experience encompasses all aspects of implementation including the development of Requests for Proposals (RFP’s), vendor selection, contract negotiation, detailed design reviews, implementation, project management and acceptance testing. Ms. Brandenburg has also participated in technology assessments, staffing studies, building designs and the development of informational papers on cutting edge technologies.
Ms. Brandenburg has a unique understanding of public safety technology from both an operational and a technical standpoint. This knowledge, coupled with her project management training and experience provide significant value to every project she is involved in.
